At the Ridgefield Amateur Hockey Association, we empower tomorrow’s champions.

RAHA is committed to fostering a vibrant hockey community where every player feels valued and supported, both on and off the ice. Through competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship, we help players reach their fullest potential as athletes, teammates, and individuals.

Founded in 1975, RAHA has grown into one of Connecticut’s most respected youth hockey programs, offering opportunities for boys and girls from Mite (8U) through Midget (18U). We are proud members of USA Hockey and the Connecticut Hockey Conference (CHC), representing the Ridgefield Lions in competitive travel play across the region.

Our players practice primarily at Winter Garden Ice Arena and compete in tournaments throughout Connecticut, New England, and beyond.

Hockey is more than a sport... it’s a classroom for life.

At RAHA, we believe the lessons learned on the ice (discipline, resilience, teamwork) extend far beyond the rink. Our approach strikes a balance between high-level competition and personal growth, ensuring that every player develops confidence, character, and a lifelong passion for the game.

RAHA is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization led by a dedicated Board of Directors, coaching staff, and community of parents and volunteers. Together, we create an environment that promotes fair play, skill development, and community pride.

Our coaching team combines playing experience with youth development expertise. From our Team Coaches to our Goalie and Power Skating specialists, every coach shares the same commitment: to help each player reach their potential through instruction, motivation, and fun.
