RAHA Board Members, Terms & Bios:
Mike Kelly (exp 2025) – President
Mike and his wife Jen grew up in Westchester County NY and moved their family to Ridgefield in 2020. They have four kids together (two sets of twins - Connor & Sophie and Charlotte & John). Connor splits time between playing goalie and forward in the PeeWee division and John is a full time forward as a squirt. The girls are very active in soccer, tennis, and basketball as well. Professionally, Mike is a partner at Smith Brothers Insurance headquartered in Glastonbury, CT where he leads the private client practice.
Mike played his youth hockey in Westchester County NY and after his playing career was done he became a USA Hockey Official in 2000. He refereed through the 2016 season at various levels including several NY state tournaments, EHL (juniors), ACHA (college), The Federal League (pro) and others throughout the U.S. The Kelly family relocated 4 times from 2015 - 2020 and their family spent time in Denver, Scottsdale, then San Diego before moving back to the east coast. In each town they have lived Mike has volunteered and coached all of his kids throughout their youth sports journeys.
Michael Zarro (exp 2025) - Vice President, Treasurer
Growing up in Putnam County NY Mike Zarro played his youth hockey in the area. Since graduating college, he has coached hockey for multiple programs at all levels from Learn to Play through High School Varsity. Beginning in 2000, Mike coached the John Jay East Fishkill JV team to 7 Championship appearances in 8 years, bringing home the title 5 times. In 2010, Mike was part of the varsity coaching staff that led the program to a NYS Championship in 2010. As his children began taking interest in hockey Mike transitioned from coaching the high school level and started coaching Learn to Play, 8U, 10U and 12U hockey. Mike is excited to be part of the Lions coaching staff.
Kim Hulber (exp 2024) - Secretary, Ice Planning
Kim and her family have lived in Ridgefield since 2010. She works for a Fortune 100 Company building strategies to make business processes more effective and efficient and brings that experience to RAHA to try and do the same.
Kim dabbled in hockey in her youth but really started playing as an adult. She spent many hours playing at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan between the hours of 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM and is now thrilled to watch her son play the sport that she enjoys so much, during daylight hours.
Devon Myers (exp 2024) - Program Planning, COVID Officer
Devon and her husband Adam have lived in Ridgefield for 9 years with their three children (Maclaine, Bowie, and Aksel). Currently all three children are in the RAHA program playing for Squirts and Mites.
Devon grew up in nearby New Canaan, CT and grew up in a hockey family. She started skating when she first could walk and played hockey at the New Canaan Winter Club prior to playing for Deerfield Academy during her high school years. During the summer months, Devon participated in Hockey Night in Boston and was a highly recruited player. Devon then went on to play for Trinity College and was the captain and leading scorer for the team. Not only did Devon play hockey throughout her college career but she also played lacrosse and enjoyed here athletic experiences very much.
Devon is a devoted mother who has been involved not only in coaching and volunteering with her children’s sports but also education. She serves on the board of the PTA for the girls’ school and is the chair of junior tennis at Silver Spring Country Club. Prior to having children Devon worked for UBS and Janus Capital running sponsorships and events across all platforms. She then went on to work for the Aspen Art Museum where she was responsible for executing their annual fundraisers.
Devon is thrilled to be part of the RAHA board to help to continue to grow the program, enhance skills, create a strong community, and have fun.
Tiffany Lenz (exp 2025) – Uniforms, Midget Director
Tiffany and her husband Jon have lived in Ridgefield 23 years. They currently have 3 children (AJ, Abby and Aidan… a Midget, a dancer and a Squirt). The family’s hockey journey began in Brewster where AJ played house and then travel for the Brewster Bulldogs. We joined RAHA when AJ was a second year Pee-Wee and have been Lions ever since.
Tiffany spends most of her time volunteering in the activities that her kids are passionate about: former PTA President at Farmingville Elementary School, director of FES school play, current PTA board member at East Ridge Middle School, former manager of RAHA Bantam AA and Midget 16U, current RAHA Midget director, backstage coordinator for Enchanted Garden dance studio, former Girl Scout troop leader, member of National Charity League and director of Vacation Bible School at Jesse Lee.
Prior to having children, Tiffany worked for various hedge funds, first as a paralegal and then as a lawyer getting her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2005.
Tiffany is psyched to join the RAHA board at an exciting time in the organization’s growth and looks forward to leveraging her past experience to assist the hockey program moving forward. Go Lions (and Hat Tricks)!
Keith Lawrence (exp 2023)
Keith and his wife Rikki grew up in Ridgefield and both graduated from RHS. In 2018, they returned to Ridgefield with their two boys (Connor & Tyler) who have been a part of the RAHA program for the past four seasons. Keith is currently employed at Johnson & Johnson working in Sales Management. Keith played youth hockey within RAHA and also played for the RHS Tigers. Since his children have been old enough to play hockey he has been actively involved in coaching, including within Darien, Norwalk and RAHA (for the past four seasons). Keith is excited to be back in Ridgefield again and give back to the RAHA program that had such a positive impact on his childhood.
Matt Gershner (exp 2023)
Matt is a 2021 transplant to Ridgefield after living in Westchester, where he grew up, for the past 11 years. His son Nathan is on the Peewee B team for the fall season, which Matt scheduled for and assistant coached for the 21-22 season, roles he will continue in the upcoming season. A USA Hockey level 3 coach, hockey is a great passion for Matt and working with the kids on the ice is incredibly rewarding. Matt played hockey in high school, was a referee in college and even was an intern for the NHL in 1994. Professionally, Matt works for a technology startup in the marketing research industry, an industry he has worked in for almost 20 years, mostly scaling startups to viability and beyond. Matt and his wife Deb have been married for 14 years and have two boys, Nathan and Jacob.
Dominick Vanacore (exp 2023)
Dom and his wife Kristy live in Ridgefield with their family and have two sons in the RAHA program. Dom has been coaching youth hockey for years and played his entire life. Before joining RAHA Dom was a staple on the bench and on the ice coaching the Westchester Vipers. Since joining RAHA Dom has assisted with many age groups from Squirts through Bantams. Professionally Dom works in IT and in his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors, preferably fishing.
